To help make your arrival as smooth as possible:
🚌 Parking is available at Grace Bible Church, with a complimentary shuttle running 3:45–6:30 p.m. to transport families to and from campus.
🚫 Please do not park at Dollar General. They have asked that our families not use their parking lot, as they are expecting deliveries during the event. Vehicles parked there may be towed.

☀️🍎 Summer Meals Available at La Vernia Junior High School! 🍎☀️
La Vernia ISD Child Nutrition will be serving grab-and-go summer meal bundles 🥪🍎 from June 8–25, 2026, Monday through Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the La Vernia Junior High School Cafeteria. 🏫
📦 Each meal bundle includes lunch and a snack, and on Thursdays, students may also pick up Friday's meal bundle.
✅ Children may be eligible to receive summer meals at no cost through the USDA Summer Food Service Program.
Students who qualify for Free or Reduced-Price Meals are eligible to receive free summer meals. Children in households receiving SNAP, TANF, or FDPIR benefits are automatically eligible.
📝 To determine eligibility for free summer meals, families who have not already done so are encouraged to complete a Household Application for Free and Reduced-Price Meals.

👧👦 Children 18 years of age and younger may participate, even if they are not enrolled in summer school or other summer programs.

The La Vernia Intermediate Cub Council has earned the prestigious 🏆 Sweepstakes Council honor from the Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC)—the highest recognition a student council can receive in Texas!
This award reflects outstanding leadership, impactful service, and excellence in Pride and Patriotism, Energy and Environment, and Drugs, Alcohol, Safety and Health, along with a strong commitment to school and community service.
Out of more than 1,100 schools, only 280 councils statewide earned this distinction for the 2025–2026 school year—placing our Bears among an elite group! 💙🤍🐻

The City of La Vernia has let us know that the intersection of FM 775 and Chihuahua Street was impacted by an accident involving an 18-wheeler on Friday night.
Due to damage and ongoing safety assessments, the intersection is expected to remain closed until at least Tuesday. With school traffic resuming tomorrow, families and staff are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time during morning and afternoon commutes.
We appreciate the City of La Vernia’s continued work to address this situation and thank our community for their patience.
